1. Statutory Limitation & Accuracy Disclaimer

Vakkeel Ka Dosth (VKD) is a workflow assistance platform that retrieves and parses public court records. Automated hearing alerts and cause list notifications are provided for convenience. Advocates, counsel, and litigants must independently verify hearing schedules with the official daily cause lists published by the respective High Courts, District Courts, and Tribunals. VKD assumes no liability for missed appearances, procedural lapses, or statutory limitation expiries under the Limitation Act, 1963.

2. Bar Council of India (BCI) Rule 36 Compliance

In strict compliance with Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules (Section IV - Duty to Colleagues / Advertising), VKD is an internal practice management system. All outgoing notifications (Email, SMS, WhatsApp) are strictly administrative case updates and do not constitute advertising, solicitation, or promotion of legal services.

3. Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023

For client details entered into the platform, the handling Advocate acts as the Data Fiduciary and VKD acts as the Data Processor. Data is processed exclusively on the advocate's instructions to provide case alerts. Users may update notification channels, opt out of automated client dispatches, or request data erasure at any time via their profile settings.

4. Public Data Ingestion & Scraping Ethics

VKD queries publicly available judicial records (eCourts Services) with ethical rate throttling, connection pooling, and circuit breaker mechanisms designed to prevent infrastructure overload on public judicial servers.
